What is an Automation Panel?

Panels containing PLCs are generally referred to as automation control panels. An automation panel is a power supply system known as the main power source for any commercial building or home. Once the main cable reaches the automation panel system, it is transferred and distributed to the next circuits via the circuit breakers located there. At this point, power must be distributed appropriately to ensure that every device performs at its best. This enables the correct distribution of electricity. Along with all this, the distribution panel is also very important for safety.

What Does an Automation Panel Do?

The energy required for programmable machines to operate must be drawn from the main grid at different power levels at different times, and millisecond-level power changes must be adapted. This is necessary to use the energy from the grid in the correct amount and at the correct time. Automation panels are generally known as panels where the main distribution of electrical energy is carried out in factories, workshops, workplaces, and residences. When it is a building type, the transformer low voltage output comes directly to the main distribution panel and distributes energy to the secondary panels from there. From here, it comes to the measurement panel, and the electrical energy enters the main distribution panel. The output is made from the switch to the secondary automation panel system, and in workplaces without transformers, the energy is fed into the distribution panel coming from the main location, and from there, the facility is supplied with energy. In other words, it is possible to control the energy supply of the facility with the automation panel from a single panel. Unless the facilities are much larger, it can be installed together with a compensation panel. Automation panels vary depending on the size of the facility, i.e., the power of the energy it will supply. The higher the power of the facility, the larger the switch and busbar sizes will be, and the panel dimensions will increase proportionally.

Sezi Elektrik flawlessly analyzes customer requirements and designs panels suitable for projects according to environmental conditions. With its experienced staff, it offers flexible and modular systems for the design, manufacture, and installation of panels required for the creation or revision of electrical and automation systems.

  • Automation panels can be expanded and modified later.
  • Machines and products equipped with a PLC system can be controlled with minimal personnel, eliminating human error.
